Here is the easiest way to tell a story....

This can be done in 5 simple steps:
Choose one story to write about
Break your story into "topics" you want to cover in your story
Put your topics in order by numbering them
Write down 2-4 details you want to include under each topic
Begin writing your story.
This is a pretty simple way to get a story ready to write. And to make it easier, I have created a “MIND MAP” that will help you organize your story.
On this form there are 3 different oval SIZES that will help you organize and breakdown your story.
Large Oval – this is where you will put what your story is about
Medium Oval – Your TOPICS for your story go here
Small Oval – Your DETAILS under each topic go here.
Some topics will have more details than others so you can place your topics accordingly
If you want to put your topics and their details in order, you can put numbers next to the topics in the order you want them in your story, and then number the details too.
Here is a “rough” example of one that I put together to write a story about the bike that I had when I was young. It’s a story I haven’t written yet, but hope to in the near future – especially since I have it all laid out now.
I hope that, if you need help organizing your stories, this example will help you so you can begin organizing a story.
