I have a sister who loves to travel. She is always searching for somewhere to go and always has a destination planned in her future. She not only loves to travel and learn the history of the places she visits, but she also loves the whole process of planning the trip. She decides on a destination and then studies the best places to visit, the weather, the shopping, the museums, the food, and the cost of everything. She puts together spreadsheets and her trips are so organized and planned so well that we are able to see and do almost everything on her list.
My favorite part about traveling with her is that she is also very flexible and has no problem making changes along the way, if needed. She took me to London and France two years ago and it was the most amazing trip I've ever been on because of all of her great preparation. She also had me download some really great FREE travel apps that also added to the success of the trip. These apps have now become some of my favorites, as well. I want to share them with you.
(Note: I don't receive compensation for sharing these, I am just sharing them with you to help make your traveling more enjoyable.)
1. WhatsApp Messenger

This first one, you might already have. This is a messaging app that allows you to connect across country borders through texts and phone calls. If you are leaving your country, this is a good app to have.
2. Tripit

This app is a travel planner that helps you plan your vacation, and keeps your passport, drivers license, and other important information secure and safe. You can also stay up-to-date on the travel landscapes (they are always changing) to help guide you to your destinations.
3. Trabee Pocket

This App keeps your travel budget organized.
4. Currency

This is an offline app the converts currency so you know the prices of things in a different country. With the exchange rates changing almost daily, this app stays up-to-date with those rates.
5. Google Translate

This app will translate text into 103 different languages (offline), and conversations in 43 languages.
6. Sygic Travel Maps Offline

This app helps you plan your detailed trip schedules and connects them with maps. You can also share with others who will be traveling with you when they download the app on their device.
7. HERE WeGo

This app was a lifesaver for us. It helps you navigate through the city with the transportation of your choice.
Whether you are traveling inside/outside your country, these apps will take away some of the stress of making connections, communicating, traveling, paying for things, staying on schedule, etc. I highly recommend all of them!
HAPPY TRAVELING!!
